A mainstay in Kenya’s music industry, outspoken yet quite the enigma, Nyashinski is an artist who seemingly never stops striving for greatness.

Cutting his teeth as one-third of rap trio Kleptomaniax starting in the early 2000’s, Nyashinski along with his high school friends Collo and Roba rode a wave of commercial success after inking a record deal with Ogopa DJs. The group released two albums, selling out numerous shows, securing awards and nominations from the likes of the MTV EMA’s and Kisima Awards and providing the nation with party anthems like Haree, Maniax Anthem and the ever-popular Tuendeleee.

The three began to each focus on their solo projects after the release of their second album, Nyashinski taking a long hiatus from the industry in Kenya and spending a decade in the US. On his return Nyashinski has consistently blessed fans old and new with his lyricism and easy musical flow.

Currently he is nominated for the ‘Best African Act’ at the 2018 MTV European Music Awards to be held in November. Vote for him here.
