Co-created with fans for a well-deserved come-back, the Kenyan Summer II edition is like none other! Blankets is prepared to deliver a bespoke experience that moves us beyond the unimaginable Covid interruptions.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe have really been through the ringer together as a people, and now we are on the other side. It\u2019s time to have a good time together. We all deserve joy, and Blankets is here to facilitate it.\u201d says Muthoni Ndonga, aka MDQ, founder of the festival\u2019s franchise.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Kenyan Summer II will feature an upgraded location, the one and only <\/span>Home of Heroes<\/span><\/i> (Moi International Sports Center Kasarani) for nothing but a heroic experience. Through a truly transcontinental representation, and more than two headliners, the festival is bringing together thoughtful musical acts from Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The Kenyan Summer II edition will be headlined by\u00a0 Nigerian afrobeats star CKay, Kenyan super star Savara and South Africa\u2019s Amapiano star Musa Keys. Other stellar performances scheduled include: R&B\u2019s rising stars Wendy Kay, Ethan Muziki and The Only Rosa, HipHop\u2019s IT man Scar feat Wangechi and Wakadinali, Kenyan\/Afro-house star Suraj feat the sensational Winyo, Polaris, Watendawili will be on stage with their interpretation of Rhumba and many more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Started back in 2008, the festival has always served as a platform for the discovery, promotion and celebration of live African music. The once monthly event series was put on hold (much like many things of joy) by C-19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n However, now things have opened up and Blankets and Wine is back to do what it does best, to bring the audience vibes, music and joy under the sun!
