There’s no one better to spend an afternoon snapping away at an artist than a fellow creative. We sent Sarah Waiswa—you may know her as the Afrohemian Nomad, Lafrohemien—to hang out with B&W live sketch artist, Naddya Adhiambo Oluoch-Olunya for whom drawing is her home and the results were soft, intimate portraits of this talented lass.

Naddya invited me to her house where we had some tea and super interesting peanut butter and jelly nan! We spoke as she worked, and told me about her career and how she ended up doing what she loves! She studied animation at the Sheridan College in Oakville Canada and currently works as a professional illustrator, and animator for Zana Africa in Nairobi.
