Odinareh Bingwa is an urban Kenyan rap artiste who started his musical career professionally at the Nokia Don’t Break the Beat Freestyle Competition in Mombasa 2011,he managed to beat the regionals to compete in the nationals and it is this that made him commit seriously in the music industry.
Odinareh Bingwa has been active in the new school Kenyan music wave with a few number 1 on the hiphop charts on radio with songs like All Night Buda that topped the chart on capital FM hits not homework show.
His growth in the Kenyan industry was steady with a growing following and at the end of the year 2015 he was awarded the 2015 Coast HipHop artist of the year Nzumari Awards.
He released Pressure in 2016 which is his biggest record so far which speaks on his moves as an artiste and the pressures of artistry in kenya,it is this record that got him introduced to national audience since it not only earned him a media tour in Nairobi he also got massive airplay on international media like MTV base and Trace TV africa before it even premiered in Kenya.
Papa LA kusini which is a title he is also known as also doubles as the title of his mixtape,which came out earlier this year
and has a few favorite tracks on fans already which is usually evident from the fans whenever he performs.
2017 seems to be even more promising for Odinareh after his recent release KAMA ZAMANI accompanied by a decent video earned him a media tour in Nairobi and a concert at the Alchemist alongside Muthoni Drummer Queen,Stephen Kapela,Shukid and Tunji for the Kenyan new school Unkut Live finale.
So far he has put the coast of kenya back on the musical map in terms of rap and is now working on a few more releases and by the end of the year wants to fully solidify his place in the Kenyan music Industry.
